“r/VolunteersForUkraine said I would save democracy against Russian Nazis. They never told me I would get felted.”

Looks like the jig is slowly popping off the hook.

This media went insane claiming that the Ukraine was going to win, now they’re getting badly felted and the world is seeing it so they’re like “uhhh, uhhhh, uhhh.”

Here’s the link to the original WaPo article, but we’re just going to use the Russian version because it’s shorter and better and not Jewish.

RT:

Americans and other foreign fighters who had travelled to Ukraine in order to fight Russia, and have now returned home, have spoken of their disappointment to the Washington Post.

The newspaper’s reporting marks a small change in tone in US/UK mainstream coverage of the conflict. In the article, those interviewed lamented, among other things, a lack of equipment and weapons and poor lines of communication.

One of the fighters who agreed to speak to the paper, asked to be named only by his first name, Dakota, over concerns for his own safety and that of his family. A US Marine Corps veteran, he arrived in Ukraine just days after Russia launched its military operation, back in February.

If my father had named me Dakota, I’d probably be in the Ukraine trying to get myself killed as well.

What a nightmare.

It's kind of hard to imagine that Ukraine is able to maintain a reasonably functional military, given they lost lots of hardware at the start of the war. While fighting on your home territory, gives morale advantages, it also means you don't have safe spaces to mobilize attacks from, so Russia has that advantage.

Not sure how difficult it is for Russia to continue to produce arms in light of significant sanctions, or if they need to in continuing to prosecute this war. There are a few YT reports from people within Russia saying the sanctions are impacting at least the retail economy, so Russia is likely going through hard times that way. Russia has an enormous task now of transforming itself into a largely "off-grid" economy where it will need to produce far more of its domestic needs very independently. If they largely succeed, then it will be a big blow to globalization. They do have plenty of resources and taking Eastern Ukraine will help in that regard. What they really need is more people. Russia is sparsely populated.

150 Boer farmers too up Putin on his offer of free land. I think they needed $100,000 grub stake to get started. The Boers said it was good soil.

Also, there are 10 million illegal Chinese in eastern Russia and the Russians can do nothing about it. ;)

The Russians don't seem to mind. (The US has quite a few illegal Chinese too although not that many.)

Question is whether the NATO supplied hardware is getting through to the front lines and whether it is usable.

Europol concerned about U...ns getting to criminals

One of the Lethal Weapon flicks had a story line about smuggling illegal Chinese into the U.S. and how Chinese Yuan were being counterfeited to pay for it all. ;)

Those 155 mm howitzers are fine as long as they can get the ammo for them.

Ukraine was former Soviet bloc, and they have an abundance of old Soviet weapons systems. ;)
