British volunteers were given no training. No leadership. They were forced to give up their passports and told their enlistment was changed from 3 months to 3 years. One Brit went home with 150 others.
Ukrainians had no support and no intelligence for their troops. One Brit had to spend thousands of pounds to get food and supplies in the 3 months that he was there. The level of conflict was way beyond what the Brits had seen in Afghanistan.
