Rescuing an animal is one of the kindest things you can do. But it definitely takes work and patience. This was especially true for one couple on TikTok, who have shared the moment their rescue kitty had a breakthrough and finally allowed himself to be loved.
The incredible video was later shared by TikTok creator Alice Isabella (@alice.isabellaa). And boy oh boy, we’re still crying just thinking about it. The video shows Alice’s cat Toby being kissed on the heads several times by her partner. This might seem totally normal to some people — who doesn’t love to give their pets some affection? But the mom later revealed why this moment was so special. “Our rescue boy couldn’t look at us when we got him. He finally lets Daddy give him kisses and look how happy he is,” she wrote. Over 9 million people have watched Alice’s video, and the response was so supportive. “There’s nothing more pure and beautiful than animal’s trust,” @glitterarch wrote. “Oh my lord my heart, that’s the sweetest thing, wish my tornado of a cat would do this aha,” @paulinestevens1888 joked. “My goodness… if that ain’t love then I don’t know what is,” @royalecookie agreed.
