I don’t think anyone believed that the “Disinformation Governance Board” was going to be about “combatting Russia.”

It seems that they dissolved it because they knew the details of it were going to get leaked too early. Obviously, people were eventually going to figure it out, but they wanted it to be entrenched before anyone figured it out (like NSA bulk data collection).

Did they dissolve it? I thought they just suspended it for a while. Then they can bring it up again every 6 months until it starts to sound like something that is a good idea. That's how gov elites do things.

They could try but I'm reasonably sure a ministry of truth is one step too far. That may not stop them from trying but it can't ever be tolerated as the 1st amendment breach it is
