Before Jack Webb played Joe Friday on radio and then TV, he was Jeff Regan Private Eye on the radio. Around 1950 in one of the episodes his partner had been shot and Jeff went to see him in a Los Angeles hospital. His Jewish boss got mad and yelled at him, "You got to get out there and earn some money. This hospital is charging me $20 a day (for his partner to be in intensive care in an LA hospital."

Retrofitting needs to be done long before 2030. LA will get hit by the Big One before 2030. After the next mega quake, there will be no hospitals, no roads, no sewer, no jails, no fire houses, no electricity and no water. But they will have 20 million people looking for free stuff. And many of them will be illegal aliens.

Ditto for the New Madrid fault from Memphis to St Louis but with more Blacks than illegal aliens.
