Is Norman fixed? I think him and my wheezer would make a cute couple!

He is a fine looking pug!

Want to know something interesting? Norman's AKC registration says any of his offspring will not be AKC listed. When I checked into it, I found many breeders give a limited registration so they won't have any competition. The only way I can get it lifted is to ask the breeder, which I haven't.

So, I can breed him as if, but the puppies won't have AKC papers.

I've thought abotu suing the AKC and putting an end to this.

Is Norman fixed?

That would be cruel

No, he's not fixed. He's not doing anything to warrant it, like getting funny with people's legs, or fighting. Mostly he sleeps, then he plays, then he eats.

Neither would Wheezer's as she is an adoptee and it has been a hassle to contact the breeder once we located her - they are a matched set!

But, she is black, would Norman mind?

I did the same with puppies I sold that werent show quality.. but I let the people know up front .. and had them sign a contract with that understanding..

The breeders didn't tell us, which I consider dishonest. His AKC papers showed up, and said his offspring would not be AKC listed. Then I checked into it and found out what the deal was. I wasn't planning on breeding him unless someone asked, and taking a puppy for payment so I would have two.

I put him in a yard with a black female pug and she tried to herd him in circles. It was the strangest thing.

That is dishonest IMO.. and if you pushed it with the AKC you would get the papers..

yep, that sounds just like a female pug - very bossy.

Mine is a totally spoiled brat. She even tries to herd the parrot.

I would love to breed her at least once, as I told Zip - even if I gave the pups away. I love puppies!

I dunno I just like the black pugs.. and their eyes are supposed to not show white.. but she looks like shes from a show background .. very balanced dog..

I might just do that. I don't want to be a professional breeder, I just thought about breeding him once so I could get another pug, so he'd have a playmate.

BTW, I met an old guy, who bred pugs, who said they can't breed without help...such as a human holding them in place. He wasn't pulling my leg, either.

Norman's eyes are so east-west I don't think he can see anything in front of him. He crashes into walls, cars, doors, everything.

I had no idea. I didn't really want to have one person hold the female and me hold Norman and play "this goes here."

Now I really don't want to be a professional breeder!!

Wheezer has what we call Lizard eyes - they move totally independently of each other (or so it seems).

Makes her a better *herder* I guess.

It's bad enough I have to clean the gunk out of the groove above his nose; now I have to show him how to have sex? Would a little wine help? Some soft music, a fireplace? Maybe doggie porn films?

Do you have to do the nose-gunk thing, too?
