We were working a concert in Chicago back in the late 80s at the Aragon Ballroom. There were so many fights it was called "the Brawlrooom".

One show they were having trouble with people knocking down chairs. I was walking with Danny D., the boss. I said, "There's more chairs down in here."

I shine the flashlight into the crowd and there was a guy jumping up and down on a chair that was lying on the floor.

Danny went in there and hit him right in the head, POW, and he goes flying.

He gets up and says, "Man, I didn't do nothin'"

I told him, "Shut the fuck up. Now pick up those chairs."

This is an old memory I am lucky to recall since the meningitis wiped out so much memory. ;)

I miss being young and strong and tough. Kicking ass at concerts was part of the job. When people get drunk or high on dope, they generally become very unreasonable. It was the substances that were responsible for the mayhem I was forced into. ;)
