Brings to mind an old episode of M*A*S*H where B.J. Hunnicutt was struggling to keep a dying soldier alive until 00:00:01 26Dec, while everybody else was partying, so the soldier's children wouldn't remember Christmas as the day their father died.
I can't remember the outcome of the MASH episode. Had Visiting Nurse Hospice waited three hours on a Saturday in 2014 to report my mother's death, she would've gotten that last SS check which would've helped, but it doesn't matter much, one way or the other. I don't need the money.
Spending another three hours with my girlfriend's family might've been good, though.
My girlfriend, at the time, was older than that bitch. I'll guarantee you, she didn't look anything like that monster.
They finally gave up trying to keep him alive at about 10 minutes before midnight, letting him have his peace. After lamenting their lost efforts, one of them went over to the clock and fast forwarded it past midnight. Another commented that s/he had never faked a medical report before but that would be a good first instance.
Thanks, Neil, I remember now. Such a tragic lack of morals there. j/k.
I try to help folks sometimes. I'm not as bad of a person as some folks would believe.
You're certainly a nice guy. Not nice enough to knock Loddy out of his #1 position since Al Gore invented the internet, but certainly #3. Not sure who #2 might be.
I'd be inclined to help you out someday, but I'm not smart enough to handle anything outside of Indiana. I'm afraid to drive.
You're a good man, Pin.
(Edit) Not wanting to nit-pik this to death, but Korea is probably twelve hours AHEAD of EST time. Operating in Asia on EST would be awkward. I don't see a big moral dilemma.
My drinking time usually starts at 1700 Zulu (GMT), unless justified otherwise. 1200 Hoosierhickistan time.
