Chris Lopez sent us this video of a wind turbine that caught fire after being struck by lightning in Crowell, Texas.
The total EROI on those idiotic eyesores has to be much lower than unity.
I read once that if one of those things ran 24/7 for 20 years with no maintenance, only then would it have supplied enough energy to produce all the copper wire used in the generator's armature.
