Putin-linked Lawmaker Threatens To Have Russia Invade America
(TheLibertyRevolution.com)- The speaker of Russias lower house of the Russian Federal Assembly offered a subtle hint that Russia may retake Alaska if the US does as Ukraine asked and seizes Russian assets.
Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Western allies to sell off Russian assets to help pay for the economic recovery of his country.
During a session of the State Duma last Wednesday, Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin warned the Biden administration to think twice about seizing or freezing Russian assets, adding that Alaska once belonged to Russia and Moscow may want to take it back.
According to a Ukrainian media outlet, Volodin said America should always remember that Alaska is part of Russias territory. He said if the US attempts to appropriate our assets abroad, it should remember that Russia has something to claim back.
The Vice-Speaker of the State Duma, Pyotr Tolstoy (the great-great- grandson of Russian author Leo Tolstoy), piggybacked off of Volodins remarks by proposing Russia hold a referendum in Alaska.
Russias first permanent settlement in Alaska was established in 1784. The United States purchased the territory from Tsar Alexander II in 1867 for $7.2 million (or $142.2 million in todays money) as part of a treaty orchestrated by then-Secretary of State William Seward.
Alaskas Republican Governor Mike Dunleavy responded to the threat on Twitter, telling Russian politicians who think they can take Alaska back, Good luck.
Former Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev also issued a stern warning to the US on Wednesday, claiming the United States would face the wrath of God if it joins the international efforts to establish a tribunal to investigate Russia for possible war crimes in Ukraine.
On the platform Telegram, Medvedev, the Russian Security Councils deputy secretary, denounced the United States for dropping atomic bombs on Japan during the Second World War and said the atrocities committed by the United States both in Japan and in the Vietnam war were never prosecuted internationally.

Do you think the Russians can mass three Army groups across the Berian Straits without satellite surveillance picking up the activity? This is not Red Dawn.
