We are seeing the breakdown of Dollar hegemony and the petrodollar. I sincerely doubt that Silver is going to be in such high demand that it can’t be bought let alone acquired seeing as how silver is a pretty common metal.

Silver is used up when applied to various applications, unlike gold and many other precious metals.
There was a process for recovering silver from used solutions from developing film from photographs. But that seems to have gone by the wayside because of digital technology.
However, the typesetting and headline industry still uses these processes to set headlines for commercial advertisements. ;)
