MINNEAPOLIS, ST. PAUL TO REQUIRE PROOF OF VACCINATION TO ENTER BARS, RESTAURANTS, THEATERS, GYMS AND MORE

Cristina Laila | January 13, 2022

Meanwhile in the Democrat hellhole of Minneapolis…

Minnesota – Minneapolis and St. Paul will now join other major Democrat- run cities and require proof of vaccination in order to enter restaurants, bars, theaters and other venues.

“This is a critical next step to avoid closures,” Communist Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey said at a virtual news conference with St. Paul Mayor Melvin Carter. “We want to stay open, and we need to stay safer.”

Both mayors used their emergency powers to impose the vaccine passport system in their cities.

The Star Tribune reported:

Minneapolis and St. Paul will require customers to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter restaurants, bars and other entertainment venues, marking some of the most aggressive steps the Twin Cities have taken to curb the spread of the virus.

The new restrictions — which will apply to places where food or beverages are sold for on-site, indoor consumption — will go into effect for most businesses Jan. 19, though ticketed events will not be required to comply until Jan. 26. Patrons can provide either proof of vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken under medical supervision within the last 72 hours. Proof of booster shots is not required.

The orders, which both mayors used their emergency powers to enact Wednesday, also apply to stadiums, movie theaters, bowling alleys, convention centers and other venues that serve food or drinks. St. Paul’s mandate will apply only to businesses that are licensed by the city, meaning restaurants that don’t sell alcohol will not have to follow the new regulation.

Customers will be considered vaccinated two weeks after completing any of the vaccine series approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), officials said. They can present businesses with a physical vaccine card, a photo of one or the state’s Docket app as proof.

Los Angeles, San Francisco, DC, Chicago, and New York City are a few of the Democrat-run cities asking people to show their papers before entering most buildings.

Old News. And since I haven’t been over to that part of the cities, I have been a lot happier. Minneapolis is the worst run shithole ever.

Hey, BTP. I've been to those places and I have no business now that will ever drag me back there. Those names were writ large when we were kids—now they're garbage pits. Shame.

Masks have virtually disappeared everywhere within a day's drive from Houston and the sneeze guards that not long ago went up in all kinds of retail places are just about gone also.

So we're OK here and my pronouns like those of Sen. Cruz are "kiss my ass."  = O

Right now, the hospital I go to for wound treatment you must wear a mask in the hospital. And they have those sneeze guards still in place in the waiting room in specialty clinic. :-/

Well, now that you mention that and to be perfectly honest, there's an emergency medicine clinic around the corner that takes our insurance. That's where ya go when you bust a knuckle or cut yourself bad doing something stupid in the garage.

My better half went over there for a virus test this week and they still give a body the run-around with the damned mask.

I'll die before I go there. I swear.

A very old story from when I worked for Illinois State Highways.

One time I was leaving Arlingtom Hts yard at midnight on Night Patrol in winter.

I started going south on Arlington Hts Rd. There was overhead street light that put glare on windshield. When it cleared there was a guy with a bicycle lying in the road.

I cut the wheel hard right and tore up four feet of snow on shoulder when I jumped the curb. I thought he had already been hit so I called for ambulance.

They found out he was bicycling drunk, hit a Crack in the road and fell over. If he had been two feet further to the right I would have killed him.

They sent ambulance back to the barn.

I am very lucky to recall these old stories since the meningitis wiped out so much. ;)
