Vaccine mandates and strict lockdowns, have robbed the once bustling city of its soul, and the liberal progressives who are in charge of one of the worlds largest metropolitans, seem bent on destroying everything that remains. Eric Adams became the new mayor of New York City on the 1st of January, and in his very short time as the citys leader, he has allowed a bill to let non-citizens vote. Adams initially expressed concerns about the bill, but failed to veto it on Sunday, so the bill passed into law immediately. But what else would you expect from a Democrat? Non-citizens living in New York City only have to live there for a month before becoming eligible City elections are next year. New York City is not the first city to allow non-citizens a vote. Eleven towns in Maryland and two in Vermont have the same law, but their populations are far smaller than the Big Apple, who boasts close to 800,000 non-citizen residents. Lawful permanent residents, who have resided in the city for at least 30 days, those who have U.S. work authorization and Dreamers will be able to vote in the citys Mayor elections, Comptroller, public advocate and city council elections. They will be excluded from state and national elections (allegedly). An implementation plan must be submitted by July, if non-citizens are going to vote in the 2023 city elections. The Board of Elections is working out how to register non-citizens for city elections, but have them excluded from being sent mail-in ballots for state and national elections we all know how well mail in voting went last time. Legal challenges are likely, however with NYC being a highly+ Democratic city, its unlikely anything will be done about it. Alabama, Arizona, Colorado and Florida have all put in place measures to prevent cities in their states from allowing non-citizens a vote. Meanwhile, while all these allowances are being made for non-citizens, actual Americans are suffering from the disastrous leadership of Joe Biden. During a White House interview, the President made tone-deaf comments about the state of the economy and said that Americans should blame Republicans for them becoming poorer, because they want to keep them in the state theyre in. Biden stated: [
] Im not an economist, but Ive been doing this a long time. But heres the way to look at it. If car prices are too high right now, there are two solutions: You increase the supply of cars by making more of them, or you reduce demand for cars by making Americans poorer. Thats the choice. Believe it or not, theres a lot of people in the second camp. Youll hear them complain that wages are rising too fast among the very middle- class and working-class people who have endured decades of stalled incomes. Their view of the economy says the only solution to our current and future challenges is to make the working families that are the backbone in our country poorer or keep them in the state theyre in. Who ever said that? Its amazing that Biden would say something like that, when his side has been working against the American people with their awful policies for decades now.
