"The development of events in Ukraine ... today depends only on the decisions and actions of Russia. No country outside Ukrainian territory, except Russia, can influence the development of these events. Only Russia can determine how this conflict will develop and how and how it will end. No one can interfere in this situation. No one has the military strength and desire to intervene, "the analyst said.
According to him, the military results will be determined by the political leadership of the Russian Federation, and it will quickly end the conflict, unless it makes "monstrous compromises."
“If tomorrow Moscow sets the military the task of completing a special operation within two weeks, destroying the Ukrainian army, this will be done within two weeks. The Russian army is capable of this. There are enough options that anyone with an average understanding of military affairs can outline tactics that can do," the observer said.

Russia is firing 50,000 artillery shells a day. The Ukrainians had 8 years to build many layers of entrenched defenses with mines everywhere. It takes a long time to crack a defense line and then remove those mines. And every time a line is cracked, the remaining Ukrainian soldiers retreat to the next line. The current line is collapsing and will fall back to the final line. That last line of defense will fall in 2 weeks. After that the Russians can encircle Kharkhov in the North and Odessa in the South to wait things out. The Ukrainians have lost as many as a thousand soldiers a day.
The Ukrainians were so desperate that they sent in their Presidential brigade ( about 3,000 men) to hold the current line. Russian rocket services zeroed in on them. These men had never seen combat but were well trained and were motorized with lots of trucks, tanks and artillery. In a few days they will have lost most of their vehicles and at least half of their men. In 2 weeks they will be at the last line from Kramatorsk south. And when that line collapses there will be nothing left to defend Kiev. Poles are taking over many positions as police in area beyond Kiev to the border. Poles might want to join Poland and Hungarians join Hungary.
