The current rally in the stock market could continue, or it could reverse suddenly, says Chris Vermeulen of The Technical Traders. Extreme caution is necessary. "This market could roll over very quickly," he says. Within days, investors could lose all their recent gains. A further downturn in stocks could put pressure on precious metals and miners, he says.

Now THAT's some enlightened commentary.

It'll rain tomorrow, or it won't.

It has been so dry out west that Lake Mead is drying up. ;)

We had spaghetti at our house three Sundays ago.

When we lived in Skokie across the street from Rand McNally where my Dad was a Lithographer, he would come home with four pork chops. The three of us kids would get one and he would get one.

My Mom had to eat spaghetti and then she started to gain weight. Too many carbs and not enough protein.

Rands decided to close the plant and move the operation to Kentucky. My Mom didn't want to move there. We sold the house and moved back to Chicago in an apartment. It had steam heat and the boiler would go out late. In the morning we would stand in front of the open oven door to warm up. I think my Dad got a job with City of Chicago to find apartments for low income people.

It is all kind of fuzzy because the meningitis wiped out so much memory.

But much later when I was in High School, my Dad tried to declare bankruptcy. He had some bozo lawyer that screwed it up and he had to vacate. I can recall the IRS agent coming to the front door of the house. He was wearing a wool suit and cuff links. Nice work if you can get it, sucking off the teat of the taxpayer. ;)
