Yes "Iran-backed". That's always the adjective to make it okay, even if the "backing" consisted of their receiving Iranian birthday cards. It also obfuscates to the reader, confusing the targets with actual Iranians when they are probably Syrians.

One good thing about the collapse of the USA is Israel will need to either coerce another benefactor or start acting like they really do want to get along with their neighbors. If history is any guide, it won't end well for them.

Most of the "bad actors" in the region grew from seeds planted by Mossad/CIA. Remember when Osama Bin Laden was fighting the USSR in Afghanistan, late 1980's? Daesh/ISIS are Saudi psychos, with full backing from ThoseWhoLoveUs in DC and Jerusalem.

The Almighty Dollar has ruled the roost for a very long time since the Bretton Woods Agreement.

Money transfers are done internationally using the SWIFT system.

But the new BRICS system threatens to derail that. And if it happens that will be the final nail in the Dollar's coffin. ;)
