It was 48 weeks ago today that my GF, a nurse, 55, died from the clot-shots that she was forced to take because of Bidet's mandates to keep her job. I met her friend/coworker, McMurphy, 30, at her funeral when she approached me and asked me, "Are you Jim?" I guess girls talk.
We became close over time. I think she's on forced-shot five now and she understands her destiny. We don't talk much, she spends most of her time here salting up the shoulders of my T-shirts talking about the stress of dealing with the 'excess deaths' she deals with at Hospital City up north.
I pray that when her time comes, that it's quick and not the prolonged brain- melting hell that my erstwhile friends Rainman and his wife are going through.
Screw it. It's close enough to 1700 Zulu to justify breaking out the whiskey.
Here's to the five that didn't make it back home and the two that are hopelessly lost in the fog. Cheers.
