I don't know since I haven't voted since the 72 Presidential election but could the following occur: Would it be possible for the real Trump supporters as a whole along with those candidates endorsed by Trump to jump ship and merge with the libertarians for purposes of getting on the ballot in the states where the libertarians are accepted?

As I see it the people committed to freedom over party affiliation would kick ass if they rode Trumps coattails and collected TRUMPS VOTER'S VOTES (70-80 million) and let the dems and reps that are still party players split the left over votes that wouldn't be enough to beat DJT

I'm having trouble wondering why I haven't heard mention of this sort of strategy anywhere and was thinking maybe it's impossible by some rule or law.

The way I remember it when I lived in Illinois, even write-in candidates needed to have the minimum number of petitions just to be a write-in candidate. They really stacked the deck against anyone outside the major parties.

You could not write in Mickey Mouse. ;)
