A study by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR) states a $20.4 billion increase in taxes. The yearly increase adds to the $140 billion taxpayers are already paying to support illegal immigrants in the United States.
Immigration officials have released an estimated 1.3 million immigrants. Add to that at least one million who have managed to slip past border patrol agents and made their way illegally into the United States.
The cost breakdown estimated by FAIR is $9,232 yearly to support each illegal immigrant.
