The main BASF plant in Germany uses as much natural gas as the entire nation of Switzerland. It has a network of 1,177 miles of pipes. It has over 100 manufacturing units at this one plant. Its chemical products are used by industries all over Europe. Its closure will halt production all over Europe. It is very close to being closed. Germany starts to get cold in November.
