The original towing video: Towing with my Ford Lightning EV Pickup was a TOTAL DISASTER!

EVs suck. They're too complicated, too expensive, too hard to keep running, battery tech isn't there, limited range, etc...
There is not one EV charging station in my town, nor in my whole county, I think.
I don't know of any in FW, but apparently you can charge it at home in only 15 hours through a 50A dryer plug. It looks like the cord is $700.
It looks like a 440V quick charger will run about $5,000 + install. It looks like a 200A main electrical service is the minimum required. You will probably get an 80% charge in about two hours.
The automakers have lost their minds. What a clusterfuck.
As you know, in most houses the electric dryer circuit uses 10 AWG wire and a 30 amp breaker. Major re-work to upgrade to 50 amps!
Unless your circuit breaker panel happens to be in the garage and you have the capacity to add a new 240 V 50 A circuit.
I hope that charging cord is long enough to reach the car when the car is parked at least 50 feet from your house -- and other cars. And your neighbor's house.
My son-in-law's old F150 caught fire in the driveway at 3:00 AM a few years ago due to a faulty brake fluid level sensor. Burned the truck and their Honda Accord to the ground, and melted the vinyl siding off one wall of the house. Truck burned so hot the cast aluminum wheels melted. Would have caught the whole house on fire if the kids hadn't woke up from the fire's bright light in their bedroom window.
And Lithium-Ion battery EVs burn a whole lot hotter than that. And longer.

Right you are! I was thinking about the stove circuit. Been awhile.

Looks like an accident at a steel mill or sand cast foundry.

Are you joking? Looked like 20 feet. What do you expect for ONLY $700?
The Bonus Plan is that if you try to put it out with water, it really goes off.
