On October 29, Russian news sources shared footage documenting the work of the TOS-1A thermobaric rocket system against the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). The footage shows a TOS-1A system targeting a network of fortifications of the AFU on the Donbass front. The system fired three thermobaric at the fortifications, which were built deep in wooded areas. The results of the strikes are yet to be known.
The TOS-1A, which built around the T-72 battle tank chassis, can be armed with up to 24 unguided 220 mm thermobaric rockets with a range between six and ten kilometers. The system’s rockets are armed with a powerful fuel air explosives warhead.
The Russian military has been using the TOS-1A to target AFU fortifications as well as gatherings of manpower and equipment since the begging of the special operation in Ukraine. The system has reportedly inflicted heavy human and material losses on Kiev forces.
An upgraded version of the system, dubbed the TOS-2, was also tested in the course of the operation. The TOS-2 is based on a Ural all-terrain vehicle. Unlike the older TOS-1 and TOS-1A, the TOS-2 is equipped with a digitalized fire-control system, a modern sight, a navigation system and an electronic protection system from precision-guided weapons. The system is also armed with a more powerful rockets with a longer range.
Despite receiving massive support from NATO countries, including more than 200 artillery pieces, the AFU is still outgunned by the Russian military.

No casualties mentioned because the Ukrainians are all dead. This warhead explodes and burns up all the oxygen so there is nothing left alive that breathes including birds, animals and humans. The new TOS-2 has a longer range.
