Heres the thing I keep seeing about the economy. Its gloom and doom 24/7 and in all honesty I dont expect much to change other than the continuing devaluing of currency. People are going to get to where they start losing what little they have and are probably going to see a mass of suicides.
Right now a new phenomena is people wrecking the cars they bought and having the insurance companies write them off as total losses. Been seeing accidents that should not have happened, and in fact, I saw one yesterday that by all rights made absolutely no sense.
Things are going to get way more interesting for the consumer who is smart right now.
I recently met a woman that used to drive big trucks with her husband. They would pick up loads of produce in California and take them back to Pennsylvania.
Because they wanted that produce out east, getting those loads back there as quickly as possible really paid well. Plus, they were their own brokers so they made all the money. Not very many of those kind of independent drivers around any longer.
We need more like Will and Sonny and Pruitt Trucking ;)
