Russia is an industrial nation. They can fire 50,000 artillery shells a day month after month. The US and NATO stockpiled weapons in the Ukraine for 8 years so they could attack Russia. Now there is a major battle "fight to the death" in Bakhmut in the Donbass. The Ukrainians have assembled all of the available artillery but they are short artillery shells due to America being a post-industrial nation ever since NAFTA closed down 80,000 American manufacturing plants. The Russians are winning in Bakhmut because they are not post-industrial. Also they have 7,500 Wagner contractors at Bakhmut. These are the best fighters. They are from Russian prisons. They are given a pardon if they last 6 months. Some men volunteer even if they have less than a year left in their sentence.
