Could also be an even darker possibility, that is that interdimenional beings, which some might call "demons", have possessed world leaders in all branches of government, media, and the medical profession. But yeah, what all powerful GROUP of humans would want to bring an end to mankind? With all the "secret societies" running around with links to dark occult practices, anything is possible. And how could they blatantly operate in the open without fear of scrutiny or reprisal, and receive the backing of the vast majority of people? Yes. Demons are rampant in this age of man.
