American retired colonel who runs a private military contracting service active in the Ukraine said he is pulling back from the frontlines in the Donbass and that the Ukrainians have lost 70% of their personnel.
Gonzalo Lira said today many of the Ukrainians are getting trench foot disease just like soldiers in WW I. It is very cold with freezing rain. If they light a fire for heat and cooking, Russian artillery will get them. Also if they make calls home on their cell phones or use an army radio.
As I said before, I do not expect the weather to be cold enough for tanks until 12-20 to 12-24.
