Try as I might over the last weeks, news and commentary is not relevant to this forum.

No problem here, every ship has its course/mission

Now mind you, this is not an opus as I may post a "earth swallowed by a busty lesbian" article as need warrants.

I thank all of you for the consideration and kindness afforded to me at this venue.

Take care and tamp the ground before you.

See ya around.

An article may be similar to another article yet reveal different information and/or have a different perspective.

Agreed. I'd say a poster can choose to post an article regardless of what matches came up. They would just be aware of what similar stories have been posted, and when they were posted.

Who or what is HILDAGO?

HILDAGO is a film starring Viggo Mortensen and a horse.

And, the mules would grab the sheep?

Now, that's what I call authentic frontier gibberish! ;)

What about cases where there's a Reuters version and an AP version of the same story?

Well actually that won't be a duplicate article and I sort of like to see all versions of a story. AP, Reuters, AFP, etc.

Call it whatever you want. They have been known to pick sheep, basically lambs or yearlings, up by the wool/skin of their spines. And why would I know that.....because the neighbors were aware of it. Bonnie was a sheep producer from a long time back. She actually spent time in the 'wilderness' with sheepherder's wagon and dogs doing summer herding of BANDS of sheep....a band being 1500 ewes with babies.

Before I moved in here, I had a fencing guy come in with a crew and put up sheeptight fencing all around the place--to keep dogs and other critters out. Bonnie knew I was moving sheep in from them. And when the sheep actually arrived they started putting up the electric fencing. At the time, IIRC, they had 5 mules in their pasture which abutts to mine.

Wanna argue about horses biting? I can refer you to an article where they just put down a stallion for knocking the handler down, trying to maul her with his knees (7 broken ribs, punctured lung) and severe horse bites all over her back. And this was a horse 'under control'--not just running loose.

Nah..........it was at a breeding farm. He had just bred a mare and was being taken back to his stall. Another stallion on the premises apparently whinnied, in jealousy no doubt, and he went bonkers.

It was a productive son of Seattle Slew, the Triple Crown winner back in '77, IIRC! But the owners of the horse, after consulting with the breeder and vets decided it was simply too dangerous to have such a horse around.

It wasn't as though the breeder had no experience, either. She's been doing it for 16 years.

Stallions can be quite dangerous. They just had two up in NY state where one was being led to his private paddock and another stallion in the general vicinity let out a squeal. AP Jet whirled, knocking his attendant down, and he charged towards that stud, who broke through his fencing and the fight was on.

What stopped it was when Gold Token apparently hit a tree while on the chase or being chased. Killed him instantly and they don't know if AP Jet is out of the woods yet.

Brian S., I have been lurking in this and past forums for almost 2 years following the like minds around. I recently joined so I could post some items and maybe bring a few things to the table. I don't expect replies on everything but it does feel good when someone speaks up.

I have noticed the articles you post here daily and I read most every one. (I usually skip the busty lesbian ones). News and commentary is the main focus of this site. There seems to be alot of old friends here that are more apt to post in a light-hearted or satirical article.

If you want some feedback, post some pro-Bush/NWO articles under a different account and watch the posts roll in. Not much to dispute or debate around here as we all are pretty much in the "know". There hasn't been an article posted here in months that could shock or amaze me into a reply frenzy.

The reason we all come here are the like-minded views we share on most subjects. Any average American who has done the research/news-gathering that is performed here becomes a Libertarian minded, pro-constitution, truth seeker.

BTW, This forum does need a page-veiw counter and maybe a "my posts" section. An article rating system might stimulate some responses but somehow I doubt it.

You keep posting 'em and I'll keep readin' 'em. Thanks Bri...

His getting the stories out to us, is what really matters.

what do you mean by 'my posts' section?

In the 'check pings' section, you can only see replies to your posts. If noone responds to your post, it gets lost in the memory hole. If there was a way to keep track of personal posts, people might reply just so the article would be saved in 'my posts'. This might stimulate replies as well.

I have tried many times to remember article titles to search with no luck (me brain no retain) and the keyword search is not working so well. But the 'check pings' section works great. A 'my posts' would be a handy tool.

Some breeds of horses do artificial insemination. The thoroughbred industry forbids it. I would venture to guess it has something to do partly with the gambling aspect, but mainly keeping lineage straight. The prices being paid for these marvelous creatures and their usefulness as a stud have dictated that they now are doing dna matches on all of them.

Where you have one dipshit stud, there are tons of them that are real gentlemen. GEnerally at the breeding farms, the animal is taken to a specific barn that is only used for breeding. This seemingly ingrains in them that this is the only place such activity is allowed. They certainly don't just turn a stallion in with a mare. It is all veryyyyyyyyyy controlled.

A mare could kick and break a stud's leg, or put a real damaging kink in the penile sheath and penis. At the same time, a stud will oftentimes try to bite a mare's neck--and they have various ways of preventing this as they don't want the mare to get hurt either.

There is a horse here in the states, Storm Cat, whose stud fee is $500,000. Yes.....half a million dollars. And now that he is getting up there in age pretty much, they may even kick it up higher to reap big rewards the last couple of years.

Brian S...just because people don't post responses doesn't mean you aren't having an impact. I read your posted articles often, but am just as often too busy to post. I know it disappoints when you post something important and get little response. I experience the same disappointment often. Nevertheless, having good, relevant, and revealing articles posted in one place is invaluable. So I hope you'll keep up your good work for all those silent lurkers out there.

Brian, I agree with Arator. Stick around, you post things that would take me hours to locate. And that is hours I do not have. Thanks for posting.

I've told you this before, and I'm telling you again. You got a great set of links. You find some of the most interesting things to post. I don't post much on this forum. I kind of go in binges. But I tell you, I read most if not all of your ariticle postings. If I find one I'm interested in, I will read the responses until it turns into chitchat that doesn't have anything to do with the initial post. This forum does get sidetracked from the topic easily. Not much to debate if you see throught the same lense. Thats not a negetive, nor evidence posters here don't want to discuss politics. I think it's just posters have formed bonds and are less inhibited in their discussions.

If you really are going elsewere with your gift I'll take this opportunity to thank you for all the things I've learned from your postings. Regards, and I hope you continue in your endeavers.

Try as I might over the last weeks, news and commentary is not relevant to this forum.

Brian this appears to be the case everywhere.

The other day I noticed there is a lack of real news in general, even on other forums. I went to a lot of MSM news sites also, and they have articles like "Britney almost drops her baby", or articles about the race horse who broke his leg and got his surgery, things like that. Now and then you might see something about an explosion in Iraq where a small number of people die. CNN, ABC, none of them have much in the way of real news anymore.

And Drudge likes to put up articles about eccentric old ladies with 80 dogs and cats who are sickly and end up impounded, or he is busy promoting Da Vince Code. Tonight he has an article about Madonna's latest concert.

I believe information is becoming more and more restricted in general.

Around here there have been some dumb sex threads, part of that IMO is due to the fact that there is just not much news to be found anymore. Even overseas sources don't have much, though there is plenty of propaganda all around. We are living in an information vacuum now.
