Ugh. This is supposed to get here late Thursday/Friday. Local WX says high Fri is supposed to be 2 with a low of 1. I got the snow blower staged and ready to go yesterday when it warmed up a little.
Last year it was so warm about that time, the gnats were swarming when I had company and ended up with a house full of gnats. Took until about mid Jan to get rid of them.
I'm about 120 mi ESE of the southern tip of lake Michigan.
Phinehas just texted me, she says the snow is starting up just east of Chicago. The temp here is 38, I'm gonna quick burn some burgers on my little electric Weber grill before it gets bad here. I wish I would've thought of that earlier, I would've set out one of those steaks I bought last week.
(Edit) I just saw two batches of Canadian geese hauling ass south. They must know sumptin'
25° and dropping like a turd from a tall cow here...headed to 15°.
I was curious about how severe latest "artic vortex" really was, so I checked local weather across midwest. It looked like I could expect what Des Moines, IA was getting, they are down to -9. I usually check St Louis, but this storm is shaped like a water balloon being filled in Saskatchewan.
