Reading this, makes me believe that in all honesty the rapture is going to be pretty subjective with all the true believers being destroyed, 144K being saved, and the rest cast into hell.

Because the Bible says only 144k people are worth saving and that’s it. The likelihood of anyone I know, or me being one of those 144k is pretty damned small.

I knew two people who might have qualified to be raptured. I might know one person alive, maybe two that I think might get a pass into heaven. However I do not think that the rapture, as it plays out has much to offer the broken and the downtrodden other than death. Because that’s really what these power elites are going to do with their time on this earth. Ensure there is a meat grinder for all of us unworthy souls to be fed into, just so they can reign on earth.

I would like to believe that at the end of the day that Good prevails and God wins. I’m just a little too skeptical about a religion that more or less espouses one group of people are better than everyone else, and I’m not talking about Christians. I’m talking about the small hat crowd being the center of this fable, where they and they alone waltz into heaven while the rest of the world is set aflame.

If my part in this plan is to die for people who never needed to make the effort to be good in this world then what good is believing in God or redemption really? It is the chief reason why I take great pride in knowing that the end of days, God might not necessarily be watching me, and be focusing on his favorite people so that I can be God’s unseen hand of doom for those who brought our world to ruin.

But that’s just my way of looking at revelations and the end of days. When things finally go live, and Jesus shows up and tells me for all my sins my reward is the dirt and worms, with suffering until that time, I’ll just be glad that I lived the best life I could as per his Dad’s designs.

Ephesians 2:8For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not by works, so that no one can boast

I just did a search a while ago and ran across this. I wish you would read:

"...Righteousness is connected to faith in God’s Word

The very first time the word righteousness occurs, it’s linked to belief in the Lord and the Word of God!

Genesis 15:6 And he (Abraham) believed in the LORD; and he (the LORD) counted it to him for righteousness.

The Apostle Paul confirms that belief in God’s Word is connected to righteousness.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Jesus told the chief priests and the elders of the people:

Matthew 21:32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

Jesus implied that the hated publicans and the harlots were more righteous than the chief priests and elders because they believed what John the Baptist had to say!

True righteousness in God’s eyes is having faith in Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:

Who wouldn’t want to believe that Jesus Christ came to save sinners? Only people who are righteous in their own eyes and think they have no sin!

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

8 ¶If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

People may think they are righteous because they either don’t know or they don’t believe what the Bible teaches.

Romans 3:10 As it is written (in the Bible), There is none righteous, no, not one:

1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us..."

For God So Loved

John 3:15...that everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.…

If it were not so, Jesus would have died a horrible death in vain.

Since no one except God the Father knows when Jesus will return, I try to pay attention to His last words to us ~

The Great Commission: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Jesus gave this command to the apostles shortly before He ascended into heaven, and it essentially outlines what Jesus expected the apostles and those who followed them to do in His absence.

It is interesting that, in the original Greek, the only direct command in Matthew 28:19–20 is “make disciples.” The Great Commission instructs us to make disciples while we are going throughout the world. The instructions to “go,” “baptize,” and “teach” are indirect commands—participles in the original. How are we to make disciples? By baptizing them and teaching them all that Jesus commanded. “Make disciples” is the primary command of the Great Commission. “Going,” “baptizing,” and “teaching” are the means by which we fulfill the command to “make disciples.”
