Not really. I spent most of the day tearing apart my half-bath and laundry room so I could move my stacked washer/dryer out far enough to be able to replace the drain pump on the washing machine.
It's an old Maytag Neptune Super Stack, probably ~35 y/o.
Drain pump - $140 Tax - $11 Shipping $9
Saving $2,000 and not having to mess around getting a new one - Worth the trip.
You should rest very well tonight after a productive win/win day.
I was pretty upset when it started acting up a couple months ago. Those Neptunes were the first high efficiency residential front loader years ago. It's been a good unit.
About 20 y/o the water seal on the drum bearings went out taking out the bearings. That repair was a big deal. Somehow, I got the thing wheeled out into the garage to fix it. Took a few days IIRC.
Apparently that machine is a lot like me. It seems to have packed on a hundred pounds, it was all I could do to move it a couple feet today. I thought I must've bolted it to the floor for awhile today.
Hopefully this'll take me to the end of the line this time. My back isn't too happy with me right this second.
