Izyum Ukraine is about 120 kilometres southeast of the oblast capital, Kharkov. This city is the supply point along with Kramatorsk of the Ukrainians in the Donbass. Russia could launch a major tank offensive from Russia near Kharkov, bypass Kharkov and reach Izyum in a matter of days. Weather is cold enough for tanks but they Russians to want to wait two weeks the freeze date of the 20th for ideal conditions. The Pentagon and the Ukrainian MOD Zaluzhny have both asked Zelensky to withdraw his soldiers but he refuses. There are tens of thousands of NATO soldiers in the area that could be captured. Soldiers further south in Donbass are being encircled which is why Secretary Austin asked Zelensky to leave Bakhmut. As I said, Zelensky is delusional and refuses to leave.
