I am halfway through unloading all my rentals. I was convinced to sell by the "eviction moratorium" stealing my property rights. That being said, investing in real estate was the best decision ever. It gave me an income separate from medicine and allowed me to keep my last employer, the VA, on permanent probation. I had to give them walking papers before I made it 5 years, so no federal retirement benefits for me. However, retiring early was also a great decision in retrospect.
