Which should do a pretty good job of driving the food inflation prices down. Because when people are poor, the stores can’t charge as much as they could when people are rich.
The funny thing is you can tell which stores are shopped by WIC and food stamp holders when you compare the prices. In the ones where the welfare crowd shops, the prices are actually higher than if you were to shop in a place more affluent. Same with gas prices.
