A dollar collapse will send many legal and illegal aliens home. It will permanently cut wages 60% making America unlivable. It will also ignite a race based Civil War with Blacks burning down every major American city. They will target foreigners as well as Whites.

Seems a dollar collapse is the only cure for mass illegal immigration to the USA.

A lack of food sparks violence, and cities are, of course, where the most food is needed and the least will be available in that scenario. City dwellers will have a much higher death rate than will rural people.

But the question is how severe the collapse would be. Russia experienced such a collapse, and they survived, quite a setback time wise in many ways, but without too much damage.

You can determine the severity of a coming Depression by measuring how many Unpayable Debts each nation has to cancel. The US leads the way so our Depression will be more severe than other nations, worse than 1929-1933. However, we could painlessly cancel debts by seizing the assets of those who stole from us to fund debt cancellation.

But we entered a Grand Solar Minimum much like the Maunder Minimum of 1645 to 1715 which was 70 years of bad weather and poor harvests. Of course we have 7.5 billion more people now than then. If we had another "1816 year without a summer" of the Dalton GSM era, then a few billion people would die.
