A massive international research collaboration that analyzed several dozen rigorous studies focusing on “physical interventions” against COVID-19 and influenza found that they provide little to no protection against infection or illness rates.

The study, published in the peer-reviewed Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, is the strongest science to date refuting the basis for mask mandates worldwide.

I have worn masks for 40 years during flu season with gown and gloves because it looks better. N95 masks properly worn prevent TB but that is a bacterial cell hundreds of times larger than a virus. The masks are actually dangerous for COVID. They give a false sense of security. For those with COVID wearing masks to prevent spread, they are rebreathing their own virus infected air and increasing their viral load and with that, risk of dying. Then when they cough they release droplets of virus infected secretions. Droplets drop to the floor in about 6 feet and I think this is were the utterly stupid 6 foot rule comes from. The problem is when you cough through a mask, the droplet is forced through the mask weave and is busted up into an aerosol which can spread widely and stay in the air indefinitely. Nothing they did or recommended did anything good.

Big frelling deal I have been saying this 3 years ago and the people I know yelled at me. They do not now.
