The flight distance from Taipei (Taiwan) to Manila (Philippines) is 722 miles. The Chinese could use air and sea launched missiles to take out the 4 bases there and at Guam and Okinawa. They should avoid taking out an air craft carrier, maybe settling for a destroyer in the carrier task force. This to avoid a nuclear confrontation.
