I watched Orwell's "1984" last night. Quite a depressing black n white flick with John Hurt in it. It is oh so very prophetic with the backdrop of constant propaganda reporting about a far off war against this "Eastasia" country, at one point decrying the inhumane war crimes committed by it. People living in poverty being taught they are prosperous, and ultimately being trained to deny even basic truths -- shades of covid and the vaxx. It's all there. Orwell was not a fiction writer. He was a genuine prophet.
