CANNES, FRANCE – Aaron Russo’s incendiary political documentary which exposes many of the governmental organizations and entities that have abridged the freedoms of U.S. citizens had its international premiere at Cannes and won a standing ovation. The event, which was held on the beach and filled to capacity, was open to the public and drew a crowd of people who stood along the boardwalk to watch the film. Through interviews with U.S. Congressmen, as well the former IRS Commissioner, former IRS and FBI agents, tax attorneys and authors, Russo proves conclusively that there is no law requiring citizens to pay a direct tax on their labor. His film connects the dots between money creation, federal income tax, voter fraud, the national identity card (which becomes law in May 2008) and the implementation of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to track citizens. Neither left nor right-wing in perspective, the film concludes that the U.S. government is taking on the characteristics of a police state. Doc will open on multiple screens in cities across the U.S. beginning July 28. The international audience at Cannes as well as the European media has been fascinated by Russo’s fiery diatribe against the direction America is heading. The discussion that followed the preview lasted for thirty minutes. Actor Nick Nolte, in Cannes for the premiere of “Over The Hedge,” joined Russo during the event. “The information in this film is something everybody has to know”, said Nolte, who was the lead actor in “Teachers,” a film produced by Russo. Russo, who is best known as the producer of feature films including “The Rose” with Bette Midler and “Trading Places” with Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd, wrote, produced, and directed the doc. “I am disgusted by the direction America was heading,” says Russo. “I made this movie because I want to live in a free country and I want my kids and grandkids to live in a free country. The American people must abandon the myth that America is still the land of liberty that it once was.” Russo’s doc already has a tremendous grass root groundswell behind it. The film has previewed in over twenty-five cities with sold out theatres and standing ovations. The website, http://www.freedomtofascism.com has been had over five hundred thousand (500,000) streams of the video trailer. Additionally, through the website and from grassroots screenings, over $100,000 in non-deductible donations has been collected to help with the theatrical release. hmmmm..i don't know, bluegrass. hubby, son, and i saw it. we also met and spoke with Aaron at length. we got a good feeling about him and this movie and its message. i don't recall anything about Ruppert in it?

There's a lot of things that Americans should see and know about, but the gatekeepers only let some people tell the story at certain times. Russo has gotten far more positive mainstream media coverage than any vocal Federal Reserve/IRS opponent that I can recall in my lifetime which tells me quite a bit to begin with. It's possible that since the whole mess can't be covered up anymore, the discussion of it is just being steered. I'll admit that I'm mostly running on intuition here. I've heard him interviewed and he says all the right things, but I can't find any of Russo's pronouncements on Zionists or their agenda in America, especially as it relates to the Federal Reserve. That sets my radar off like a foghorn. That Ilana Mercer endorsed him is also another nail in his coffin. I'd also heard that Mike Ruppert is interviewed in the film. Ruppert was the first 9/11 researcher many of ran into, and he was sitting on the net waiting for all of us on 9/12.

based in its appeal and is understandable to mainstream America. He's not
trying to convince those of us in the "truth movement" who already have a
pretty good idea of what is going on, but rather he is attempting to grab the
collective attention of Sally-soccer-mom and Joe-6-pack. The success of a
film is measured in its box-office numbers and profits. Russo has presented
material that is supportable, even provable. Imo, it would be counter
productive to introduce the topic of Zionism -- a subject that is much more
difficult to prove and is probably unnecessary for the accomplishment of his
goal here. Further, who cares who a particular messenger is (i.e. Ruppert),
as
long as that person delivers the correct message? As I said above, I saw
the film and I was very impressed. It exceeded my expectations.
And there's the bottom line.

Any time something or someone like this is allowed any coverage by mainstream, it raises my flags too. I'll be interested to hear your review.
I thought I was clear that I had not. I go to see docs all the time, and will see it when it comes out here. I just said, it looks kinda smelly.

It wouldn't matter anyway; a true Jew is not of the flesh but of the spirit, IOW, a CHRISTIAN. Anyway, the fact that some of the PTB are publicizing the movie IS cause for caution. Whoa! Some vaguely stinky poopoo here... The company that's distributing this flick, Cinema Libre Studios, recently made a movie called "The Shape of the Future". "Shape" is about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and was written by the President of a group called "Search for Common Ground". Dov Zakheim sits on the Board of Directors of "Search for Common Ground".

She's all for LIB values, minimal govt, lots of guns, etc, but there is one anomaly in her thinking that she feels no obligation to explain. SHE SUPPORTS THE NEW BERLIN WALL! In other words, no one needs strong, oppressive govt except Israel! So, if she's a termite then Russo may be, too.

The more I learn about the markets, the "PlungeProtectionTeams," the hedge funds - the more TradingPlaces seems like a documentary to me...besides being a hilarious flic.

Ditto. As I mentioned elsewhere, just try to find Russo's pronouncements on Israeli interference in Americs. In all of his illustrious, radical, iconoclastic political career, there's dead silence on the matter. Mercer knows his position which is why she just loves him.
