Now there will be a criminal trial. And Democrats just rigged Donald Trump’s trial with this sick dirty trick. Conservative Washington Post columnist Henry Olsen warned that Donald Trump cannot get a fair trial in Manhattan where Democrats make up 85 percent of the voters and judges stand for election where they must answer to the overwhelmingly left-wing electorate. “New York state’s entire judicial process is controlled by Democrats who could lose their positions in party primaries. Alvin Bragg, the district attorney overseeing the case, boasted during his campaign that he had sued Trump or his administration more than 100 times during his tenure in the state attorney general’s office, something he probably did to curry favor with primary voters who loathe Trump. Every New York state judge who would either try the case or hear an appeal is elected on a partisan basis, too,” Olsen stated. Donald Trump expressed his belief that he could not receive a fair trial in Manhattan based on the fact that the judge assigned to the case – Juan Manuel Marchan – already declared his extreme bias against Trump and his business when Marchan oversaw the trial of former Trump Organization CFO Alan Weisselberg. “The Judge ‘assigned’ to my Witch Hunt Case, a ‘Case’ that has NEVER BEEN CHARGED BEFORE, HATES ME. His name is Juan Manuel Marchan, was hand picked by Bragg & the Prosecutors, & is the same person who ‘railroaded’ my 75 year old former CFO, Allen Weisselberg, to take a ‘plea’ deal (Plead GUILTY, even if you are not, 90 DAYS, fight us in Court, 10 years (life!) in jail. He strong armed Allen, which a judge is not allowed to do, & treated my companies, which didn’t ‘plead,’ VICIOUSLY. APPEALING!” Trump declared. In that trial Manhattan prosecutors brought nuisance bookkeeping charges against Weisselberg, who eventually pled guilty in exchange for a reduced five month prison sentence. At the trial, Marchan ranted and raved like a lunatic that he would love to throw the book at Weisselberg and lock him up for a long time but couldn’t because he felt bound by the plea agreement. “Had I not made the promise, I would not be imposing the five-month sentence,” Marchan fumed. “I would be imposing a sentence much greater than that.” Democrats are not taking any chances. The Left tasked their most biased and Trump-hating partisan prosecutors with investigating Trump. And Democrats made sure they could try all these cases in the bluest jurisdictions in America to guarantee a stacked deck with a judge and jury loaded with leftists.
