Chris Dorner never got to Oregon. There was an UAV (drone) involved in the search. I wrote about Dorner once giving it as an example of how poor police response would be to an armed rebellion of the leaderless type started after an atrocity that went too far. If 50 men in SoCal and maybe 10,000 nationwide were angered by a general roundup of the 8,000,000 on the list to be detained without trial in case of civil emergency.
I concluded that it would not go well for the government.
