This is via my buddy Rainman:

I&M, the local electric collective, shut his electricity off last weekend because they thought he didn't pay his bill on his residence, one of four or five properties him and his wife own.

It used to be that they would have to pull your electric meter to shut off your power or disconnect it at the pole. Apparently, the new "smart" meters can open the circuit remotely, probably via 5G signals, at will.

Back in my day, that would take a contactor (big-ass relay) to handle that kind of power. Apparently, there's some power electronics available now that can do it.

Long story, short, a couple of phone calls later, his power was restored in less than an hour, remotely. No notice, nothing. Power off. I haven't kept up with advances in electronics since I was killed back in 2013. I wouldn't have thought it possible, at least non- destructively.

They've got us by the short-hairs now.

I had my health, car, ambulance insurance, natural gas, lawn service, one of my credit cards, IRS payments, incoming money, etcetera, cut off when I ran afoul of "The Big Bank's" ESG (All-Gay, All-Day in the USA) initiatives when they "locked" my and my sister's accounts because I made some "unapproved" comments/posts on 4um and other websites.

I had my two local reps undivided attention when I showed them their houses via Google Maps street-view. All of the sudden, they were on my side, rather than the WEF/NWO people in India or wherever.

It's been a nightmare.

Power electronics ping!

A few years ago I designed a bidirectional switch for vehicle battery charge management applications that handled 400 A using 8 back-to-back power N-channel MOSFETs. Monitored the voltage in each cell, and balanced the cells, all while drawing only about 40 microamps from the battery. Cut power to the load before the battery was completely discharged, saving enough charge to re-start the vehicle. Automatically (like magic) detected when the user was attempting re-start, even with the load disconnected.

So do you think there's semi conductors that can turn on/off 200+ amps AC that fit inside of a standard electric meter? Maybe I should steal one from an abandoned house in the hood.

I haven't kept up on this shit for except "bigclivedotcom"'s EweToob channel which primarily features him setting Chinese dildos on fire.

Clive's a pretty good guy. He lives on the Isle of Man, where the TT Trophy motorcycle race kills a bunch of people every year.

He's actually a pretty good tech guy, but a kook, not unlike myself.

Sure, that's AC, so thyristors, not MOSFETs. Think of those tankless water heaters; they use thyristors to control big current for fast heating.

One of my tech/radio guys in the old days, Danny, was an ex-VN vet. He used to pound his bench every time this song came on, when he wasn't showing off his Nam jungle-rot. He had what I'd guess you'd call a page boy haircut.

*BAM* *BAM* "TAKE A CHANCE ON ME" *BAM* *BAM*. That was a long time ago...

There was no videos back then. As I recall, FM radio was a luxury most places we were operating.

LOL, I haven't thought about Danny for a long time. I'm sure he's long gone.

I'm gonna have a hard time getting Danny (and ABBA) out of my head...
