One man told The Wall Street Journal he had never held a gun before he was sent into the battle...

In WW II the US passed a law requiring 6 months of training before a man could be sent overseas to potential combat. Some Ukrainians are getting 3 weeks of training by NATO. Some are trained for as little as 3 days. Some No training. Some have never fired an AK-47. I have seen videos of "soldiers" as young as 16 and others in their 60s.
The Washington Post interviewed a Ukrainian tank commander in a hospital with a severely injured back. Two months before he was a pig farmer. He was injured when he tank driver drove into a ditch. Never shot by a Russian. A tank commander in the US Army has to be a Staff Sergeant which takes a minimum of 3 year, if not 4, to achieve. A Canadian soldier on the frontline saw two Ukrainian soldiers smoking. A Russian tank fired at the 2 men, instantly killing one. The other lived a few seconds. It takes skill to fire a tank round over a kilometer away exactly between 2 men standing there smoking.
