...as time winds down...

I washed my truck Tuesday afternoon for the first time in about two years. Of course, that had my back out of commission yesterday and on the narcotics. I'd be having the time of my life if it wasn't for the pain. My excitement now consists of giving away money and drinkin'. Anyway, the truck looks good. It ought to, it's got less than 11k miles after ten and a half years.

FWIW, John Denver died at 53 in 1997 He died on the afternoon of October 12, 1997, when his light homebuilt aircraft, a Rutan Long-EZ with registration number N555JD, crashed into Monterey Bay near Pacific Grove, California, while making a series of touch-and-go landings at the nearby Monterey Peninsula Airport.

Why would a pilot make a series of touch-and-go landings? Practice? Fun? Testing the aircraft?

I don't remember the details. JD had plenty of hours, the aircraft was a homebuilt/experimental deal. Maybe he was trying to get used to it, I don't really know.

Back in 2013, I was getting ready to get my rotary wing license. I wanted to finish up my Texas Two-Step lessons at the American Legion in Waynedale first.

Did Granny have her own cell phone in 2013?

Ten years ago I was driving trucks cross country. We didn't have much in the way of cell phones, but some drivers used them. ;)

Yeah, she was texting some earth-shattering news to one of her squirts when she killed me.

My first (Half) day in the hospital exhausted the limits of her insurance.

The MDs told my wife I wasn't going to survive, and if I did, I'd be a braindead invalid.

She filed for divorce the next day. I got clipped for $2 million+.

The MDs need to be sued for their incompetence.

Did your ex really clip you for $2 Million+? :-/

Yeah, probably a bit more than that. It happens. It's part of the cost of doing business.

You remember the hassle I went through trying to send you money?

It just is what it is, Jim. I love ya man, you can't even get mail. Doubtful I'll ever be rolling through SW Missouri anytime soon.

Nothing against you, man, you need to lose that conservator, ASAFP.

There is a way to do it, but I need statement from my primary physician that I am capable of handling my own finances. Then Legal Aid in Joplin will send a lawyer to file on her.

Right now I am waiting for other shoe to drop on retired Conservator's Breach of Fiduciary Duty for opening a CD for $10,000 and short time later a medical bill came in. There was not enough in my account to pay it. She was forced to close CD early and take the penalty.

I am going to get back all the $30 monthly fees she took from me. Then she will be stuck paying court costs on top of it. ;)

Jim, quit fuckin' around. I'll send your lawyer a $1,000 to get this gig rolling to get your freedom back.

I'm not going to talk about this in the clear anymore.
