Eric Adams is sputtering for answers after this punishing tax finds its way into New York

Just about any New Yorker will tell you that one of the worst parts about living in the Big Apple is the many exorbitant taxes and fees.

You name it and the City of New York either taxes it or is desperately trying to tax it.

But Eric Adams is sputtering for answers after this punishing tax finds its way into New York.

This new tax will cause even more financial strain for thousands of commuters

There are few cities across the world that are as busy and restless as New York City.

Driving through New York City, in Manhattan in particular, is no easy feat, and doing so successfully requires some good driving skills and a lot of patience.

On a daily basis, thousands upon thousands of drivers head into the city for work, vacation, or any number of reasons.

However, following the federal approval of a new tax in the Big Apple, these thousands of drivers will have to start paying an exorbitant new tax in the very near future.

On Monday, the federal government approved a new tax known as a “congestion charge” that will charge drivers $23 a day to enter Manhattan south of 60th Street.

Although $23 is the current proposed fee, the final amount is still under consideration by New York City officials.

This fee is designed to encourage commuters and travelers to use public transit or other forms of transportation to ease traffic congestion in New York City.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul celebrated Biden officials’ green lighting of this plan on Monday when she said in a statement that, “With the green light from the federal government, we look forward to moving ahead with the implementation of this program.”

Despite Hochul’s jubilation over this new fee, many New Yorkers are outraged over this costly new fee, especially given that New York already punishes commuters and residents with a number of taxes and fees.

The more New York City raises taxes, the more people who will pack up and leave the Big Apple

In recent years, New York City has seen throngs of wealthy residents flee the city after crime and taxes got out of control.

Instead of making New York City a better place to live, the Democrats running New York City are determined to keep raising taxes while doing little to nothing to get a hold of out-of-control crime.

New York City is a case study of Left-wing politics run amok, and the more that left-wing radicals force their agenda on New Yorkers, the worse off New York will become.

Poster Comment:

Eric Adams rides in a limo to his office in City Hall. Why should he care about who get stuck paying the new tax?

I have a cousin that lived in NYC. He moved across the country to San Francisco. He said he likes the weather out there a lot better and out east. Never any snow in Frisco, just fog.

Chinese bought the old Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and plan to turn the top 10 floors into condos. Who do they think will buy them since most of the wealthy have fled to Florida or Texas. ;)

Politicians punish us for working, jail us for speaking and fine us for working. Why can't people see they basically want to kill us?
