This While Seeking An Additional $24 Billion For Ukraine The conservative Hollywood icon James Woods torched President Joe Biden over a $700 emergency payment to those displaced by the wildfires in Maui.
The payments were announced as the White House Tuesday revealed its “robust whole-of-government response effort” for the victims of the disaster.
As part of the program, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will allow for “a one-time payment of $700 per household to applicants who were displaced from their homes and have critical needs.”
Woods does not feel the payments are adequate, especially in light of everything the United States has done for foreign nations under President Biden.
“$700 per household for Americans whose homes were razed during a preventable disaster,” he wrote on Twitter/X. “People stood in the ocean watching their community disintegrate and their neighbors burn to death.”
“Seven. Hundred. Lousy. Dollars,” added Woods. “But $113 BILLION to Ukraine. Good job, Big Guy.”
