The School District of Philadelphia will be using drones in violence-prone areas in addition to new safety procedures to protect students from the citys crime, according to Chalkbeat.
Chief of School Safety Kevin Bethel announced on Wednesday that the school would be implementing new technology such as updating 150 analog cameras to digital cameras, and drones in order to ensure safety for students, according to Chalkbeat.
Approximately 200 students were shot throughout the last school year, 33 died, and 18 guns were found apparently belonging to students, Chalkbeat reported.
