Trump Files Motion To Disqualify Judge From Trial September 13, 2023
Donald Trump REALLY does not want Judge Tanya Chutkan overseeing his federal Jan. 6 case.
He's gone so far as to file a motion attempting to disqualify her from presiding over the Jack Smith-led prosecution.
That's because Trump does NOT think that Chutkan is preparing to take it easy on him. She's been previously referred to as the "toughest punisher" of Jan. 6 rioters.
It is no wonder Trump doesn't want anything to do with her. It is also no wonder that liberals want her in charge.
Trump is claiming that Chutkan is not impartial enough to make an unbiased decision.
The former president is using the fact that she has derogatorily referenced him in other cases.
Trump's court filing cites remarks Chutkan made in 2022 while sentencing a Jan. 6 defendant. Chutkan said that the rioter was motivated by "blind loyalty to one person who, by the way, remains free to this day."
Gee, I wonder who she was talking about.
If it was Trump mentioned in that sentence, then I agree. Chutkan needs to be disqualified.
