Mark Gardner, a 73- year-old resident of the affluent city, had just pulled into his $1.1 million home in his BMW when three armed men surrounded his car, brandishing their weapons. The incident, caught on tape, showcases the frightening reality of rampant crime in cities run by Democratic leadership. In an interview with WFAA-TV News, Gardner recounted the harrowing experience. “Never did I think something like this would happen,” he said. “This is where they took the butt of the gun and kept pounding it, ‘Give it up! Give it up!’.” Gardner quickly instructed his stepson, who was with him in the car, to call his wife and tell her to hide in the house. He himself called the police, while the armed men continued to bang on his car windows. Gardner’s quick thinking and bravery paid off as he managed to startle one of the thugs and make a speedy escape, leaving the would-be robbers in his dust The Dallas police, who arrived on the scene shortly after, believe that the armed men followed Gardner from the bank, targeting him in what is called a “jugging” incident, where criminals follow victims from a financial institution to their home in hopes of stealing their money. Despite the terrifying ordeal, Gardner and his family were fortunate enough to escape unharmed. However, the same cannot be said for many others in Dallas and other cities run by Democratic leaders. The city’s mayor, Eric Johnson, a Democrat, has consistently failed to address the issue of rampant crime plaguing his city. While Dallas has long been known as one of the wealthiest and safest cities in the country, it has recently seen a rise in crime rates, particularly in violent and property crimes. Gardner’s close call with the armed thugs is a glimpse into the harsh reality faced by many residents of cities run by Democrats. The lack of effective policies implemented by these leaders has allowed crime to run rampant, putting innocent citizens at risk. In an attempt to deflect blame, these leaders often point fingers at systemic issues, rather than taking action to address the immediate problem. The incident also sheds light on the dangerous and risky nature of being a successful individual in a city with high crime rates. The "jugging" practice has long been a criminal strategy down here where I am. That's why there are armed guards in the lobby of banks, and why they prohibit people from using cell phones in the bank lobbies as they could be spies watching and reporting people who make big cash withdrawals. The usual suspicion is that the bank tellers themselves might be the spies sending messages out when a customer withdraws a lot of cash. So the criminal strategy of jugging may well have been imported through the southern border.
