First Black Jesus Movie Aims To Unite Blacks And Jews

2006-05-31 -- WDC MEDIA NEWS

(LOS ANGELES) -- "Color of the Cross," a Nu-Lite Entertainment production, is an independent, biblically charged religious biopic based on the last 48 hours of Christ’s life and stands to be the most controversial depiction of Jesus to date. In this gripping, two-hour epic, Jesus is portrayed as a black Jew. This retelling of the biblical story from a black perspective seeks to repair the anti-Semitism that has been associated with the story of Christ.

The inclusion of Black Jews during Passover in the film makes a clear statement toward the shared history of African and the Middle Eastern cultures without being offensive. Unlike "Passion of the Christ," "Color of the Cross" chose not to focus on the bloody torture of Christ’s crucifixion. Instead the film focuses on the human pain and suffering that Christ, the Disciples, and Christ’s family endured. "Color of the Cross" reaches across a cultural divide to inspire and challenge its viewers intellectually.

According to the film’s director, Jean Claude LaMarre, "To watch a black man on screen, being referred to as rabbi, or to see him partaking in a Seder meal and observing Passover really blurs the lines that divide blacks and Jews in this country. We are part of the same history." "Color of the Cross" seeks to stimulate and awaken peace and unity between all races of people.

Recent programs such as the History Channel’s "Warriors of the Bible" clearly shows the diversity of cultures as they existed in the geographical region where the Bible stories occurred. And like many of the recent programs flooding the media such as the Book of Judas, Ron Howard’s "The Da Vinci Code," etc, "Color of the Cross" also bases its story not just on scriptural interpretation but other historical data with many interpretations pointing to the fact that Christ very well may have been dark skinned.

The film will have a theatrical release in October 2006. Revealing clips and exclusive information can be found at: http://www.colorofthecross.com/

Note to the Editors -- The film is a Nu-Lite Entertainment production, and producers are Rev. Cecil "Chip" Murray, Jessie Levostre, Kenneth Halsband, Executive Producers Lila Aviv, Paul Noe, Edy Lahens, Marc Porterfield, Michele Gonda and Co-producer Marcello Thedford. (1 image)

"So it was a crime, right?"

I do not support violence like that, no. But it was a crime framed in the madness of a million daily crimes in that country, and that government had earlier gunned down defenseless people brutally merely for protesting an unjust law.

I understand why it occured, and I put the primary blame for it's occurance were it belongs, on the national party, the ruling party in the South African government of that time.

As far as the ADL goes, I support Good work they have done

Please list the "good work" and be specific. You also never answered my earlier question re: the ADL:

Have you ever emailed or gotten in touch with them?

"Have you ever emailed or gotten in touch with them?"

Why do you ask?

As for their good work, that is obvious as they have researched and documented people places and organizations who promote religious, racial and other bigotry quite well and I have found them to be a useful source of material when I have needed such data.

That's a yes, then?

Where's their research on Ariel Sharon? Menachem Begin?

You think I don't have a right to ask your motives in asking?

If your point is germane to the discussion at hand perhaps I will answer that question then.

My motives are quite obvious. You claim you're not an ADL shill and then balk when asked a simple question about your communications with Rabbi Abe "Bacon Breath" Foxman's group.

I suspect that if the white revolution comes, whites will be exactly as scrupulous as Mandela.

Whites will admit to atrocities. Internal party documents will detail brutality in the party's camps, and even point out the inconsistency with the party's principles.

But whites won't apologize either. Not this time.

Actually after ten years of posting in forums like this one on the Internet I am redicent anytime to allow anyone to put me on the defensive for any reason.

My answer would have been the same if you had asked me if I had ever E mailed CAIR. I would have asked why you asked.

Yes I have corresponded with people in that organization, and no I have never worked for them and most certainly am not a shill of theirs'. But I have long been active politically and have snail and E mailed many organizations including CAIR for that matter. ;-)

It's my opinion that a purely objective IQ test can't be written.

Doesn't have to purely. And there's always subjectivity in the ontology. We can define a thing called reaction time, for example, and devise various ways to measure it.

"Where's their research on Ariel Sharon? Menachem Begin?"

You would have to ask them, because as I am not part of their organization nor wish to be. In fact, I am also a proponent for a far more liberal, secular government then runs the current coalition government in that country. I am also not Jewish or of a Jewish background being born and raised Catholic.

I have found the ADL primarily useful in regards to information about people, groups and situations in this country, not theirs.

That is far more information then I needed to give you, but I was nice enough to give it to you anyway. The discussion should be about the issues and events at hand, not your fellow interlocutors in a forum, so unless you wish to reciprocate about your political associations, let's get back to the topic at hand if you indeed want to talk about it.

True that, but so much of "IQ" is intangible or is at least based on flawed assumptions. I tend to believe that much of what passes for "IQ testing" is like most other things pushed by the uberculture - it's another form of debasing humanity.

You would have to ask them

The ADL's research on Sharon and Begin doesn't exist because they haven't done any. The ADL supports Jewish liars, thieves, murderers and bigots if they happen to be working for Zionist interests.

So much for their "Good work".

Intelligent people naturally tend to over-value intelligence.

A person with low IQ isn't objectively worse than another... just as someone with high IQ isn't better. And there's an answer no Intelligent, Educated person likes.

Science doesn't make those kinds of judgements. Intelligent people do like to make them, as least with regard to themselves as individuals. But having group identities, too, at that level of aggregation they prefer to discard the science rather than give up the belief that they are superior individuals.

Sure you don't. What would you call this? The love to dish it out and an inability to take similar interrogatory from someone else?

My point here is empathy. You seem to have none and are so paranoid you just were dying to try to put me on the spot.

I would further extrapolate that you don't necessarily believe me despite my quite extemporaneous straightforwardness, however would tale great umbrage at any sign I did not believe you when you claim "you are your own man." ;-)

You're a wise soul. I'll take a person of integrity over intelligence anyday of the week, though a mix of the two is always a bonus.

I call this an exchange of opinion and information by free people. I belong to no party, I gave up on the voting scam and I give no time or money to any group pushing a "cause".

My point here is empathy.

Supporting the ADL is a sign of deficient or skewed empathy. They back theft and murder.

Heh, well I support the efforts of the Ross institute to build a database of cult groups and general cult information too as exists at http://Rickross.com, but do not support the kidnapping and deprogramming of people who suffer from the sort of sudden personality change/brainwashing cults despite the good intentions involved in doing so.

I like the research done and presented freely by the ADL and find it useful. Just like that available from the Ross institute. You may not like the ADL, but not everyone is going to be as closed minded about an excellent resource of material as you are apparently.

I think he's got you on that one, Mike.

As for all of the tired canards you have flung around so haphazardly, those are nothing more than political language which belong in the dustbin.

“Political language … is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind. One cannot change this all in a moment, but one can at least change one’s own habits, and from time to time one can even, if one jeers loudly enough, send some worn-out and useless phrase … into the dust bin, where it belongs.” Eric Arthur Blair (George Orwell)
