Janet Yellen said we can fund wars in Ukraine and Israel when the 2023 US budget deficit was $1.7 trillion and she has to refinance tens of trillions of dollars at steeply higher rates. The 2024 budget deficit will be far higher than the $1.8 trillion Biden predicted by using higher GDP and lower interest rates than the CBO expects.
